WE HAVE A PRESENTATION OF THE SOLAR AND ENERGY LOAN FUND, KNOWN AS A SELF PROGRAM BY ROY ORGANIZE, BUT BEFORE WE DIVE INTO THE PROGRAM, I JUST WANTED TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON BRUSH WITH KINDNESS PROGRAM BECAUSE WE CURRENTLY HAVE THAT PROGRAM. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, AND MY CRADLING IS HERE FROM HABITAT TO REPRESENT THE PROGRAM. WE HAVE THAT PROGRAM FOR EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS OF THE HOMES. WE'VE BEEN SUCCESSFUL WITH THE PROGRAM OVER THE YEARS THAT WE'VE ASSISTED APPROXIMATELY 15 TO 18 HOMEOWNERS IN EAST STEWART SINCE THE PROGRAM WAS IMPLEMENTED IN 2017 AND CRE HAS PROVIDED FUNDING OF APPROXIMATELY $60,000 FOR IMPROVEMENTS. OVER TIME.

HOWEVER THE SCOPE OF WORK IS LIMITED WITH HABITAT. THEY DO SMALLER PROJECTS SUCH AS ROOF REPAIRS, FIXING, GUTTERS, SIDING , MOLD REMEDY REMEDIATION, SO WE WANT TO EXPAND THE PROGRAM TO INCLUDE THE SELF TO LOVE. UM LARGER IMPROVEMENTS SUCH AS ROOF REPLACEMENT AND MAJOR ROOF REPAIRS. WHICH CAN BE COSTLY TO HOMEOWNERS. UM, THE WAY THE PROGRAM WILL WORK IS THAT WE WILL PARTNER WITH SELF TO PROVIDE THE FUNDING GAP BETWEEN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE APPROVED LOAN AND THE TOTAL COST OF THE ROOF REPLACEMENT OR LARGER ROOF REPAIRS, SO THE CRE CONTRIBUTION WOULD BE LIMITED TO $5000 FOR QUALIFIED LOW INCOME HOMEOWNERS. AND, UM, THE C R. A FUND WILL COVER APPROXIMATELY ONE THIRD OF THE TYPICAL COSTS OF ROOF REPLACEMENT ON SMALLER HOMES, SO THIS WOULD BE MORE OF A PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM WITH SELF AND WE WOULD JUST BE EXPANDING THE FUNDING THAT'S ALREADY ALLOCATED FOR BRUSH WITH KINDNESS PROGRAM, SO THIS IS NOT ADDITIONAL FUNDING. WHEN I WAS GOING TO SAY IS THAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK AT, UM BROADENING THE THIS PROGRAM JUST SLIGHTLY TO PHOTOVOLTAIC, SOLAR AND AIR CONDITIONING BECAUSE OF THE NEW INFLATION REDUCTION ACT. THERE ARE CREDITS IN THERE THAT CAN BE KEPT BY THE CONTRACTOR, AND YOU GUYS COULD LEVERAGE UP THOSE CREDITS TO MAYBE GET THEM TO DO MORE, UM, AND COVER MORE, BUT THAT MIGHT NOT WORK AS MUCH FOR THE ROOF. BUT IF YOU'VE GOT A COUPLE OF THOSE OTHER ITEMS IN THERE, IT MIGHT BE THAT THE CREDIT YOU GET WILL BE ENOUGH TO COVER THOSE COSTS. AND EVEN IF THEY CAN'T USE THE CREDIT, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO PASS THAT CREDIT THROUGH TO THE CONTRACTOR AND FILL OUT THE GREEN FOR THE SAME. ALL RIGHT. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE?
